
With the outdoor track & field season right around the corner, the Washington Demons got in some indoor competition Monday and Tuesday at the annual Dickinson Relays on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.
The best individual finish for Washington belonged to freshman Jaedyn Moore, who was 13th out of nearly 200 entrants in the girls’ 200-meter dash with a time of 27.69 seconds. Moore was also 24th in the long jump.
Iris Dahl finished 25th in the 800 meters and 27th in the 400 for the Demons, while fellow sophomore Leighton Messinger rounded out the top 30 in the 200. The 4-by-800-meter relay team of Kendall Hinrichsen, Abigail Kleese, Emma Horak and Taylor Bartholomew also finished 15th for Washington.
