Despite the cold and rainy weather last Friday, the atmosphere was warm and inviting at Café Dodici, as the restaurant celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Co-owned by Lorraine Williams, her husband Alessandro Scipioni, and Tsalika Rich, Café Dodici has not only become a favorite spot for many Washington residents, but a go-to destination for travelers as well. In an industry with a traditionally low success rate, Café Dodici has continued to grow, thanks in part by its willingness to adapt. The addition of the coffee shop and night suites has allowed staff to cater to their customers in a variety of ways.
Williams spoke with KCII about the staff, who have been an integral piece to the restaurant’s success. “It is about the people that work here and they are kind and loving and just totally dedicated. It’s a great work atmosphere. I think we enjoy seeing each other every day and working together, so I couldn’t be happier.”
Executive Director for the Washington Chamber of Commerce, Michelle Redlinger, joined by several chamber members, were in attendance Friday to present the staff with a certificate recognizing the milestone.
