The YMCA of Washington County announced that the Y Indoor Aquatic Center is nearing completion, and in just six months, they will be opening their doors to the community for a grand celebration. The Y Indoor Aquatic Center will be a hub of activity, offering a wide range of programs and amenities for people of all ages and abilities. From swimming lessons for children to water aerobics for seniors, from competitive swim meets to family recreational swimming, the facility will cater to the diverse needs and interests of the community members. The YMCA held the groundbreaking ceremony for this project on July 11th, 2023. At that time, $7,349,025 had been raised for the project. The center will be ADA compliant and have a 6-lane lap pool, a recreational therapy pool, a whirlpool, a sauna, zero depth entry, and be able to host multiple activities simultaneously.
