home-show

The Kalona Home Show makes its return to the listening area today for the first time in over a decade. Housed in the Kalona Community Center, the event begins on Friday, March 22 from 4-8 p.m. and continues Saturday, March 23 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Director for the Kalona Chamber of Commerce, Tonia Poole, explained the Home Show to KCII. “The Kalona Home Show is a collection of about 40 businesses from the Kalona area and they serve the greater two-hour radius, some even beyond that. They are home-related businesses, whether it’s financing, landscaping, solar panels, painting, construction. If you have a home, there’s something here for you.”

Last held in 2012, an interest arose in bringing back the Home Show a little over a year ago. A committee was formed and after months of planning, area residents are now invited to attend the free event if they have any home-related projects planned or questions.
