The Washington School Board discussed the 4-day school week survey that was sent out to the community at their last meeting. Superintendent Willie Stone goes over the information from the survey, “Our data shows that we should look at it, but with as late as we are in the school year, we want to make sure that we vet that decision before we make a big decision like that to change. So we are going to push that off to look at it, possibly doing it the ‘25-’26 school year.” The School District will be reaching out to the community for more input on the potential of a 4-day school week in the future.
