Gas prices are on the rise in Iowa for the second week in a row, according to the latest Fuel Report from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. 

As of last Wednesday, the price of regular, unleaded gasoline averaged $3.31 across the State. This is 14 cents higher than last week and 12 cents more than one year ago. The national average rose 12 cents in the last week to $3.52. Retail diesel prices were up one cent this week for a statewide average of $3.79. This is 11 cents higher than one year ago, but 26 cents lower than the current national average. Wholesale ethanol held steady at $2.16. 

For heating fuels, propane prices went unchanged in the last week, remaining at $1.59 per gallon in Iowa. Home heating oil prices increased by two cents for an average of $3.20 per gallon. Natural gas rose two cents as well and is currently priced at $1.70.
