Both Columbus Wildcat soccer teams suffered losses in their season openers Monday at home against West Liberty. The Columbus/Winfield-Mount Union girls trailed by three goals by halftime and would go on to a 4-0 defeat, while the Wildcat boys allowed two goals in each half to take a loss by the same score.

Both teams were set to host Washington yesterday before the matches were postponed. The Columbus/WMU girls will be back in action tomorrow night against Wapello, while the boys will next take the pitch Monday against Mount Pleasant.
