The Washington County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday. On the agenda was the quarterly report from Washington County Outreach. The Director and Probation Officer, Brandon Hamilton, gave the report. “So right now we are sitting at one hundred and twenty-seven with probation at our office, five of those have warrants that are three or more years older. I wouldn’t consider them active at this time. As far as cases, we have one hundred and twenty-two, in comparison, the full-time DOC probation/parole in our area carries an active caseload of about seventy-five.” After his report, Supervisor Richard Young asked if there was a way to use the Opioid Settlement Funds to help with rehabilitation program expenses. Director Hamilton will be looking into the possibility of utilizing those funds and bringing the information back to the Supervisors.
