The Washington County Board of Supervisors heard from Washington County Engineer Jacob Thorius at their Tuesday meeting. He presented options on the closed bridge on Larch Avenue, “The first one would be to put in some sort of unvented forward low water crossing, another option would be to put in a railroad tank car, the third option would be to put in a traditional box culvert, and the fourth option is to not replace it. It is a low volume road, it has been posted at three tonnes for quite some time and limited traffic can cross it anyway.” No decision was made at the meeting, the Supervisors will think on and continue to discuss the options for the bridge.
