The Washington Demon girls’ soccer team suffered another 1-0 loss last night at Oskaloosa. The only goal of the night came after a bad bounce led to a handball called on Washington, and Osky buried the ensuing penalty kick to take a lead into halftime that they would never relinquish.
Despite a strong start to the season defensively, yesterday’s defeat as well as a 1-0 loss to Williamsburg in the opener means the Demons are still looking for their first win of 2024. Washington will look to bounce back when they play their first Southeast Conference match of the spring Thursday at home against Burlington.
