The price of regular unleaded gasoline in Iowa fell six cents in the last week, according to the latest Fuel Report from the Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.
As of Wednesday, the price of unleaded gasoline averaged $3.27 across the State. This is down three cents from last year and 28 cents lower than the current national average of $3.55. Diesel, meanwhile, fell one cent in the last week to average $3.77 in Iowa. This is 26 cents lower than the national average and seven cents less than diesel prices last year.
For heating fuels, natural gas prices rose 12 cents to $1.84. With warmer months ahead, retail heating oil and propane prices in Iowa will only be included in the Fuel Report once a month.
