A roadwork project is slated to begin in the northwest part of Washington County next week. Starting on Monday, April 15, pavement patching will take place on Ginkgo Avenue and 190th Street.
The work will be done by Midwest Contractors Inc. out of Cedar Falls, who were contracted for nearly $202,000. They plan to begin on the north end of the project near the Wellman city limits, progress south on Ginkgo Avenue, and then move to 190th Street. Motorists are advised that during daytime hours, these roads will be reduced to one lane, and traffic will be controlled with flaggers and/or pilot cars. Use caution while traveling in the area.
Weather permitting, it is anticipated that the project will be completed in two to three weeks. With questions, contact the Washington County Engineer’s Office at 319-653-7731.
