The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved the Secondary Roads five year road plan at their Tuesday meeting. Washington County Engineer requested the approval, “So this is just the formal organization of the five year road plan that we discussed in a work session two weeks ago. We need to do a five year road plan every year, we identify projects we are working on, and that is reviewed and approved by the DOT from their standpoint the technicality of stuff to make sure our descriptions are right.”  The Supervisors also approved the Secondary Roads fiscal year 2025 Iowa Department of Transportation budget. The total estimated budget for the secondary roads in 2025 is $8,216,887.
