The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls track teams are in Anamosa today for the Co-Ed Blue Raider Relays. The Mid-Prairie girls were last on the oval Thursday, dominating their home Senior Night meet with 207 points en route to the team title, and eight event championships including Jovi Evans in the 100 and 200, Behla Schmidt in the 100 hurdles, Abby Fleming in the 1500, Emma Lueck in long jump, the 4×100 team of Dakota Mitchell, Myli Hershberger, Lueck and Evans, the sprint medley with Mitchell, Lueck, Evans and Greta Sieren, and the distance med with Mitchell, Lueck, Sieren and Danielle Hostetler
The Golden Hawk boys were last in action Thursday at the Rocket Relays at Eddyville-Blakesburg, where they finished third as a team, led by four event titles including Jayse Yoder in the 800, a 1-2 finish for Emmett Swartzentruber and Preston Yutzy in the two-mile, a win for Landon Sullivan in long jump, and a shot put championship for Burke Berry.
The Golden Hawk boys and girls will be joined tonight in Anamosa by Bellevue, Easton Valley, Independence, Lisbon, Maquoketa Valley, Midland, Monticello, Mount Vernon, North Cedar, North Linn, Starmont and the home Blue Raiders. Action starts tonight at 4p.m. and continues into the evening in Anamosa.
