A new dining opportunity will be available for senior citizens next month at Pleasantview in Kalona. Senior dining will be open to the public at the facility’s Friendship Center 811 3rd Street beginning on Wednesday, May 1.

Dine-in will typically be every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at noon, but home delivery can be accommodated Monday through Friday. Those planning on dining at the Friendship Center must call in by 9 a.m. the day of or schedule in advance. Cost is $10 for independent living residents and $12 for non-independent living residents. For the time being, only cash will be accepted.
