The City of Washington announced Tuesday afternoon that a boil order is in effect for parts of the City until further notice.

The boil order is for residents living along West Madison from H Avenue to Highway 1. While in effect, consumers are directed to boil all water for at least five minutes before drinking, making ice, washing food, or brushing teeth.
