The Sigourney Savages were the team champions at the South Iowa Cedar League East Tournament for girls’ golf Thursday. Sigourney’s team score of 467 strokes was three less than second-place Iowa Valley and 80 better than third-place Belle Plaine.

Emma Hammes led the Savages by shooting a 37-over-par round of 109 and was fourth on the individual leaderboard. Freshman Addie Tremmel and senior Lana Thomas were tied for eighth overall, while Sigourney senior Krista Sellers rounded out the top 10. Keota junior Lainey Swanson also finished fifth overall with a 113.
