According to recent rankings from U.S. News, WACO High School and Mid-Prairie High School have been named as two of the best in Iowa, as well as the country.

Each year, U.S. News rates nearly 18,000 schools based on such criteria as test scores, attendance, student-teacher ratios, and college readiness. Schools receive a “Best High School” rating for being in the top 40% of all high schools nationwide. At the state level, Mid-Prairie was ranked 61 while WACO was ranked 64 out of 317 Iowa high schools. This is the first time that the Warriors have earned a “Best High School” rating.
