The Sigourney Savages secured a pair of victories in golf duals Friday against Iowa Valley. The Sigourney boys’ team score of 164 strokes was almost 90 less than the Tigers, while the Savages girls edged out Iowa Valley by just three strokes with a team total of 231.

Sophomore Solon Yates and junior Issac Bruns each shot a three-over-par round of 39 to lead the Sigourney boys. Sophomore Josh Wyatt was just one stroke behind them, while seniors Brock Anderson and Carter Wyatt each fired a 46 and senior Ty Krueger posted a 55. On the girls’ side, Sigourney was led by Lana Thomas’ 50, while fellow senior Emma Hammes shot a 58.
