The Washington Demon girls’ golf team competed Wednesday in this year’s Southeast Conference Tournament at Elks Fairview Golf Course in Keokuk. Washington finished sixth as a team with a combined score of 442 strokes.

Senior Maci Williams led the Demons by shooting a 24-over-par round of 96 and worked her way into the top 10, while junior Lauren Hinrichsen was second on the team by firing a 106. Washington now prepares for the postseason and the Class 3A Region 4 tournament they will play in this coming Wednesday at Saddleback Ridge Golf Course in Solon.
