WACO High School is the site for semifinal action Friday in the Southeast Iowa Superconference soccer tournament when the Hillcrest Academy Ravens square off with the Burlington Notre Dame Nikes. Hillcrest is 10-2 this year after a 1-0 win in the quarterfinals Tuesday in Kalona over Highland, where the Ravens got a goal from Micah Gerber, an assist from Mason Swartzendruber and a combined clean sheet from Kyle Neuschwander and Andrew Kauffman. The Ravens were outright regular season champions in the Supconference this year with a 7-1 mark. On the season, they have outscored opponents 43-9 in total, with 231 shots, 135 on goal with 56 corner kicks, 35 assists and 62 saves with an 87% team save percentage. Individually, Gerber is the leader with 14 goals, Seth Ours has 11 assists and in goal, Neuschwander has 41 saves with an 84% save percentage.

Burlington Notre Dame is 6-7 this year, finishing 4-4 in the Superconference during the regular season. They got by WACO in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament Tuesday 2-1 on goals from Luke Carper and Tatum Warner, assists from Ashton West and Caedon Ott and a pair of saves for Taylor Lundgren. On the year, the Nikes have scored and given up exactly 22 goals with 181 total shots, 88 on goal, 43 corners, 15 assists and 67 saves with a 75% team save percentage. Individually, Bobby Willdrick leads with six goals, Warner has four assists and Lundgren has 62 saves with an 80% save percentage. These two teams met in April with Hillcrest scoring a 1-0 win in Burlington on a Swartzendruber goal and shut out by Neuschwander as keeper. The winner of this match will play Saturday in the tournament finals against the winner of Mediapolis and Danville. Action between the Ravens and Nikes gets underway tonight at 5p.m. at WACO High School.
