The Washington County Hospital Foundation has been awarded $414,285 by the Washington County Riverboat Foundation. This grant makes it possible for Washington County Hospital and Clinics to purchase and make necessary upgrades to the former Mercy Clinic in Kalona, and will help WCHC ensure there is access to primary healthcare providers in northern Washington County. The Washington County Riverboat Foundation is the nonprofit license holder for the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort, which provides the entirety of its funding. For the Spring 2024 grant cycle, WCRF awarded 24 grants totaling $3,614,233.
