The Columbus Community School District recently announced the hiring of its new Activities Director, Paul Kissell.

Kissell joins Columbus from the WACO Community School District. With more than 25 years of coaching and teaching experience, Kissell was serving the WACO as a math teacher and the boys head basketball coach.

His predecessor, Jake McCullough will remain with Columbus Schools as a secondary physical education and health teacher. He had been teaching some classes with the District prior to this change, but larger class sizes have prompted the need for an exclusive activities director.

Kissell’s tenure as the Columbus Activities Director officially begins in July.
