The Washington Demon baseball team suffered a 6-1 loss at Oskaloosa last night. Washington trailed after allowing a run in the first inning and saw Oskaloosa build the lead with three runs in the third. The Demons scored once in the fourth but could not come all the way back.

Senior Luke Beenblossom, sophomore Caden Greiner and freshman Blayze Richardson had one hit each to lead the Washington lineup. Richardson was the starting pitcher and gave up three earned runs on six hits and two walks over four-and-two-thirds innings while also striking out three.

The loss drops the Demons to 2-11. Washington will next play tomorrow night against Fairfield. You can catch Demon baseball on KCII tomorrow evening starting with pregame coverage at 7 o’clock.
