The Hillcrest Academy Raven baseball and softball teams have mid-day action Wednesday when they host the New London Tigers. The Raven baseball team is 6-2 on the year and leading the Southeast Iowa Superconference North Division at 5-1, despite a 4-1 loss to Mediapolis on the road Monday. This year, Hillcrest is hitting .254 as a team with a .400OBP and .328 slug. They have scored 63 runs on 59 hits with 48 walks and 66 strikeouts. Individually, Rowan Miller is hitting .480 with a team best 12 total hits and 10RBI. Seth Ours has scored 13 runs. On the mound, the Raven staff ERA is 2.06 with a .240 opponent average on 52 hits, 16 earned runs, 14 walks and 49 strikeouts. Ours is 3-1 with a 1.84ERA.

New London is 4-4 this year, 2-2 in conference after a 15-0 loss at Burlington Notre Dame last night. On the season, the Tigers are hitting .275 as a team with a .404OBP and .411 slug with 58 runs on 57 hits with 26 walks and 60 strikeouts. Memphis Watson is the leader at the plate with a .480 average on a team best 12 total hits. Michael Raines has driven in nine and Gavin Menke-Bailey has scored 14 runs. On the mound, the New London staff has a collective 8.17ERA with a .206 opponent average, 56 hits, 58 earned runs, 38 walks and 40 strikeouts. Watson is 2-1 with a 3.97ERA. New London has won three straight in the series including an 8-4 victory a year ago.

The Raven softball team is 4-6 on the year and 4-4 in conference after a 10-7 win over Columbus Tuesday. This year, Hillcrest is hitting .298 as a team with a .428OBP and .387 slug with 77 runs on 70 hits with 52 walks and 76 strikeouts. Individually, Malia Yoder and Claire Withrow are both hitting over .500. Yoder has a team best 15 hits and 14 runs scored. Delaney Shaw leads with 13RBI. Yoder has worked all but one inning in the circle with a 4-6 record and .247 opponent average on 73 hits, 40 earned runs, 34 walks and 75 strikeouts with a 5.42ERA.

New London is 1-7 this year after dropping a 9-6 game to Columbus Monday. The Tigers hit .172 as a team with a .265OBP and .192 slug. They have scored five runs on 17 hits with 11 walks and 26 strikeouts. Megan Lee leads with a .571 average on four hits. Lillie Gallup and Shaylee Brothersen each have an RBI and Morgan Jones has scored twice. In the circle, the Tigers have a staff ERA of 15.33 with a .359 opponent average on 56 hits, 46 earned runs, 14 walks and 14 strikeouts. Ruby Myers has worked all but five innings and has an 18 ERA. The Tigers have won five of the last six in the series, but it was the Ravens with a 16-6 victory in this matchup a year ago.
