Not. Today. That was the message Hillcrest Academy pitcher Rowan Miller had for the New London Tiger’s offense Wednesday in a cross-over Southeast Iowa Superconference win for the Ravens 11-0 in five innings. Miller was masterful in his time on the mound, going the distance in the shortened game. The sophomore threw a no-hitter, fanning nine Tiger batters and walking just two on 69 pitches.

The Raven offense was a well-oiled machine Wednesday, putting up three runs in the first and adding on with two more in the third, four in the fourth and two in the fifth to finish the game early. Hillcrest had eight hits, including three for extra bases. On top of Miller’s day on the mound, he added three RBI at the plate on a hit. Liam Schrock knocked in two on a homer that ended the game early, finishing with two total hits and three runs scored. Mason Helmuth and Phoenix Anderson each drove in a pair, Helmuth on two hits with a run scored. Lincoln Miller and Kale Bailey each scored three times. The win moves the Ravens to 7-2 on the year as New London falls to 4-5.
