The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk softball team fell in a 3-0 shut out at No. 4 Mount Vernon Tuesday. The Mustangs scored once in each of the first, fifth and sixth innings. The Hawks had two baserunners on the night with Tessa Bombei recording a single, Mid-Prairie’s only hit, and Brenna Jehle drawing a walk. Mid-Prairie struck out 10 times on the night. Kadence Grout went six innings in the circle with three earned runs and a walk. The Golden Hawks have dropped three straight, falling to 4-8 on the year with a trip to Durant Thursday.
