Columbus Junction officials announced Thursday that a boil order put into effect earlier this week has been lifted.
The City experienced a water main valve break late Monday afternoon. While the valve was replaced that same day, tests were needed to be done on the water supply to ensure it is safe for consumption. On Thursday morning, it was announced that all water samples came back absent of harmful bacteria or contaminants.
Columbus Junction residents no longer need to boil their water before drinking, making ice, food preparation or other similar purposes. With questions, contact the City at 319-728-7971.
