A Fairfield woman was arrested and charged last month with multiple drug-related felonies following a traffic stop.
At approximately 8:30 p.m. on May 31, the stop was performed by the Fairfield Police Department in the area of Seventh Street and Jackson Avenue. Forty-two-year-old Angela Samuelson was pulled over for traffic violations.
During the course of the investigation, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit was contacted and deployed. The team was alerted to the odor of narcotics in Samuelson’s vehicle, and after a search was conducted, officers located approximately 30 grams of methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia.
Samuelson was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a class B felony, failure to affix drug tax stamp, a class D felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. She was transported to the Jefferson County Correctional facility and held on bond. An arraignment for Samuelson is scheduled for Monday, June 24.
