At approximately 10:03 am Thursday, officials responded to a report of an incident on Hwy 1 at Railroad Park Estates in Washington. According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, a 2005 Honda Odyssey was struck by equipment that was being hauled by a 2012 Kenworth semi-truck when it got caught on the railroad bridge. There were five passengers in the Honda, four of whom were minors, all five  sustained injuries. The driver of the Honda was airlifted to UIHC and another passenger was taken by ambulance. The other three passengers were transported to the Washington County Hospital. Assisting the Iowa State Patrol was the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington Police Department, Washington Fire Department, Washington Rescue and Washington County Ambulance.
