Washington County 4-H has had both state and national-level success in the livestock judging project area and are excited to invite and host visiting judging teams during the Washington County Fair Livestock Judging Contest. The Washington County Fair Livestock Judging Contest is Monday, July 15, starting at 12:30 p.m. Teams may consist of 3 or 4 members, and should check in at the main show ring announcer stand by noon. Schools may also send individuals to participate. There will be junior, intermediate, and senior divisions.  Species will include steers, heifers, market hogs, breeding gilts, market lambs, and breeding ewes. Livestock Judging Teams and coaches registered by July 12th with the Extension Office get in free the day of the contest.  Pre-register by calling the Washington County Extension Office at 319-653-4811.
