According to the latest Fuel Report from the Iowa Department of Agriculture, the price of unleaded gasoline fell eight cents in the last week.
As of Wednesday, the price of regular, unleaded gasoline averaged $3.15 across the State according to AAA. This is also 22 cents lower than a year ago. Nationally, the average price of a gallon of unleaded gasoline was $3.45, down five cents from last week.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa fell five cents over the last week as well, with a statewide average of $3.49. This is 15 cents down from last year, and 30 cents lower than the national average. Wholesale ethanol held steady in the last week and is currently priced at $2.16.
