KCII News spoke with US Senator Chuck Grassley to get his thoughts on President Biden’s executive order on immigration. “The main point that I would like to make is that he does not have the authority to do it. But only the courts will make that determination. And I assume that it will go to court, probably the Supreme Court, and they can declare it unconstitutional or the fact that he doesn’t have the authority to do it. But we won’t know that until after the election. So even though he may not have the authority to do it, and I don’t think he does have that authority, it still will probably be a big political advantage to him. But I think that, really, it doesn’t help him. Because people are so irritated about his open border policy, not enforcing the law that says you can’t come to America without a position.” President Biden’s executive order on immigration that restricted asylum at the border was announced on June 5th. Tuesday, Biden announces new executive action that would protect undocumented spouses and children already in the Country.
