This past week, motorists traveling on Iowa 92 or Iowa 1 in the KCII listening area may have encountered lane closures and/or flaggers due to road construction. According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, these closures will continue intermittently through the fall.

These projects will affect traffic in both directions. On Iowa 92, work stretches from the start of County Road G36 to about two miles west of West Chester. A pilot car is in operation, as lane closures will be possible until September 10. Construction on Iowa 1 between Washington and Brighton continues until November 12. This too includes a pilot car and/or flaggers from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays.

Drivers are advised to use caution when passing construction zones and be mindful of any workers. For more information on road closures in your area, visit 511ia.org.
