The annual Summer Field Day is approaching, presented by ISU Extension and Outreach and the Southeast Iowa Agricultural Research Association. The free event will be held from 1-3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26 at the Southeast Research and Demonstration Farm, 3115 Louisa-Washington Road in Crawfordsville.
Those in attendance will receive Research Farm updates from Superintendent Cody Schneider. Nitrogen Specialist Richard Roth will be on hand to discuss sulfur on soybeans, plus on-farm trial tips. Field Agronomist for ISU Extension, Rebecca Vittetoe, shared some of the other guests who will speak about bioreactors and other edge-of-field practices. “So we have Kay Stefanik who is our Assistant Director of the Iowa Nutrient Research Center, as well as Dr. Matt Helmers who is the Director of the Iowa Nutrient Research Center. We also have Allen Brush who is the local Watershed Coordinator here and then Evan Brehm who works with the Iowa Soybean Association.”
