The Highland Huskies lost a back-and-forth battle with BGM baseball last night 8-5. Highland answered an early BGM run with one of their own in the third inning, and the Huskies scored three times in the fifth to take a 4-2 lead.

But the Bears rallied to score three runs in the top of the seventh to go in front, and Highland would need to push the tying run across in the bottom half to send the game to extra innings. The game would stay tied until the ninth, where BGM scored three runs that would prove to give them the victory.

Freshman Hunter Siebel had two hits, including a double, as well as one run scored and one run batted in to lead the Huskies. Sophomore Bryce Hazelett also had two hits and scored a run, while junior Logan McFarland came up with two RBI and scored twice on one hit as Highland falls to 10-12.
