The Washington Demons face one of their toughest tests of the baseball season tonight when they host 20-win Pella in a game you can hear on KCII. Washington comes in with a 4-17 record but has gotten some solid production from the top of their lineup.

Freshman Blayze Richardson, sophomore Kael Williams and senior Luke Beenblossom all have batting averages of over .300 and have combined to score 40 runs, while senior Caleb Zieglowsky leads the Demons by hitting .405 with four doubles, a home run and a team-high 14 runs batted in.

Washington will be trying to slow down a Pella team that has gone 20-7 so far this summer. Behind junior Isaiah Kettler’s .556 average, 15 doubles, three triples, two homers and 28 RBI, the Dutch are sitting just outside the top 10 in the Class 3A state rankings and are riding a four-game win streak into this evening.

The Demons have lost three straight against the Dutch. You can hear Washington baseball battle Pella tonight on 106.1 FM KCII as well as streaming on the KCII1 app and KCIIradio.com, beginning with the Roder Epoxy Pregame Show at 7 o’clock.
