An annual event for the last decade, Crawfordsville Fun Days returns to southeast Iowa Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6.
Sponsored by the Crawfordsville Community Club, day one of the celebration is the perfect chance for guests to eat, socialize, and compete. Vice President of the Club Karen Dennler explains, “Friday night is our bags tournament. [It’s] two person, double elimination. We also have El Gringo Loco Food Truck there and Crawfordsville is a tight community so people come out just to eat and hang out, see their neighbors, play bags, just have a good time.” Both of Friday’s events begin at 6 p.m.
Saturday morning starts with a biscuits and gravy breakfast at the Crawfordville Fire Station from 6-9. The Car, Truck, and Tractor Show is from 7 a.m. to noon, with JT Sips and DeLovely’s Delicious Mini Donuts on site beginning at 8. Parade lineup is at 9:30 leading up to the big event at 10 a.m. Firemen’s water fights, pony rides, the Lions Club Lunch, and pedal pull lead into the afternoon and Fun Days concludes at 1 p.m. with the slow tractor and vehicle race.
