On Tuesday, Iowa Senator Joni Ernst announced Barn Wired of Sigourney as her Small Business of the Week.

Founded by Amanda Snakenberg in 2015, Barn Wired began selling hand designed barn board and barbed wire signs. Since then, it has expanded to include a décor shop, full coffee bar, home-cooked lunches, and a beverage garden, located on the Sigourney Square. While Snakenberg has helped introduce initiatives to grow Sigourney businesses, Barn Wired will reach its own milestone next summer with its 10th anniversary.

During this congress, Senator Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
