The City of Lone Tree announced last week its intentions to fill two vacant council seats by appointment.

The seats were previously held by Jennifer Poeschel and Cathie Conzemius, and expire on December 31, 2025. Persons wanting to be considered for either of the positions are asked to submit a written request to the City Clerk by 1 p.m. on July 30.

Lone Tree’s Council has had some recent experience appointing members. In January, they appointed Nicholas Gluba who still sits on the Council. Before that, they appointed another member in September of last year.

The Council plans to make their appointments at their regular meeting on Monday, August 5. Residents are also reminded that voters have the right to file a petition requiring that the vacancies be filled by a special election. This would need to be filed within 14 days of the July 2 release, or 14 days after the appointments are made.
