Pekin got two runs in their first at bat, and Panther pitchers JaeDon Wolver and Henry Adam made those two tallies stand up. The Pekin pair combined to allow just three hits and two walks while striking out 16 Raven batters. After surrendering two in the first, Hillcrest starter Seth Ours went five innings, scattering nine hits and two earned runs while striking out six. Phoenix Anderson worked two frames with a walk and two strikeouts. Hillcrest got a hit each from Liam Schrock, Mason Helmuth and Lincoln Miller. The Ravens are now 15-4 after the loss, Pekin is 9-9. Hillcrest is next on the diamond Saturday when they host HLV in the first round of the Class 1A Playoffs.
