A pair of Keota FFA members recently had the opportunity to attend the Washington Leadership Conference (WLC). Isaac Striegel and Jax Weber traveled to the nation’s capital to represent Keota and joined hundreds of students from across the country.
The aim of WLC is to inspire FFA members to become changemakers in their communities. With six five-day conferences throughout the summer, each day focuses on the principles of exploration, encouragement, advocacy, and service. Attendees participate in group sessions, interactive tours, and are able to gain first-hand knowledge about policy-making processes. They also develop a Living to Serve Plan to implement back home.
While week five wraps up on Saturday, the final conference of 2024 begins on July 16. For more information about the Washington Leadership Conference, click here.
