On Sunday, July 6, nine Washington County 4-H Clover Kids got to select their favorite outfit to present in front of a judge. They were paired with an experienced 4-Her who has exhibited in the clothing event project area before. Their mentor taught them about presenting their best self with modeling tips and how to visit with the judge. All Clover kids received special tie-dye ribbons for participation in the clothing event and were able to have their time on the runway during the 4-H Runway, and Results show that evening. Clover Kids are youth in grades Kindergarten through 3rd grade who are involved in the 4-H program. Washington County currently has over 150 Clover Kids in ten clubs. In the coming year, they are seeking additional caring adult volunteers. For more information about how to volunteer for Clover Kids, please contact the Washington County Extension Office at 319-653-4811.
