The Washington City Council met on Tuesday. On the agenda was a special event request from Main Street Washington to host their Main Street Masters putt putt event, a take on the traditional spring golf championship event hosted in Augusta, Georgia. The event will be held on Saturday, July 27th from 10 am to 2 pm with many downtown businesses participating. The whole family can come downtown and putt-putt their way around all the creative golf holes & enjoy sidewalk sales too. Scorecards are only $5 (8 & under free with paid adult), turn in your card to be entered to win prize baskets valued at over $80 each. The Council approved the special event request.
