The Washington City Council met on Tuesday. On the agenda was discussion and consideration of authorizing the City of Washington Parks Department to act as the general contractor for the Wellness Park Concession Stand, as well as approval of contractor bids. Parks Director Nick Pacha gives more information on the request, “We wanted to go as local as possible on everything, you we are limited like plumbers in town. It’s a stick frame building so it will look almost identical to the existing one up there, it’s just a shrunk down version. Concession stand on the east end with some windows and a walk in door, two family restrooms, a small utility room, and then a small storage area.” The Council approved authorization of the City of Washington Parks Department to act as general contractor for the Wellness Park Concession Stand project. They hope to begin the project in August.
