Three Washington Demon girls’ golfers are being recognized for their efforts both on the course and in the classroom. Seniors Maci Williams, Reagan Stouder and Natalie Prochaska have been named academic all-state for the 2024 season by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.

To be eligible for academic all-state honors from the IGCA, a senior athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.75; an ACT score of 27 or higher or an SAT score of 1200; and rank inside the top 15 percent in their class.

On the course, Williams was Washington’s leader in scoring this season, posting a team-best average score of just over 50 strokes per nine holes and just over 94-and-a-half in 18-hole competitions.

Williams went as low as 46 in nine-hole play in her senior season and had a team-low round of 91 for 18 holes. Meanwhile, in their first seasons in varsity competition, Stouder and Prochaska both had nine-hole low rounds of under 60.
