Last weekend, dozens of young ladies ages six to twenty-one competed in the 2024 Louisa County Fair Queen and Princess Contest.

Earning the crown of Louisa County Fair Queen was incoming-senior at Winfield-Mt. Union, Josie Nelson. Emma Salazar earned the title of Louisa County Fair Junior Queen, while Scarlett Jones was named Fair Princess.

In the Queen Contest, Nelson also won Personality Plus and shared Academic Achievement with Jakayla Nelson, who got Fair Spirit as well. Victoria Briggs was the People’s Choice and voted 1st Runner-up. The Overall Academic and Leadership awards went to Brelynn Randall.

Salazar, like Nelson, was named Personality Plus along with Academic Achievement in the Junior Queen Contest. Kylie Morrison joined her in Academic Achievement and also won Fair Spirit. Grace Keltner claimed four titles: People’s Choice, Overall Academic Award, Leadership Award, and 1st Runner-up. In the Princess Contest, the People’s Choice was Cate Buol, while Aliza Howell took the Fair Spirit Award.
