Some of the top senior high school football players in the area participated in the annual Iowa Shrine Bowl last weekend at the UNI-Dome on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa.

Columbus Wildcats graduate Kaden Amigon had one of the game’s big plays when the future Northern Iowa Panther scored a 32-yard touchdown on a screen pass that briefly put the South All-Star Team up 20-14.

The North team went on to win the game 49-28. WACO’s Colton Leicthy and Sigourney-Keota’s Jake Moore also played for the South, while the Warriors’ Chad Edeker was one of the coaches for the South team.

The Iowa Shrine Bowl gathers some of the best senior football players in the state every year for an all-star game that raises money for the Shriners’ Children hospitals and burn centers.
