The Lone Tree Lions finished fourth in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North this past softball season, and they ended up with seven players receiving all-conference accolades.

Among that group is outfielder Vivian Zaruba, who showcased her stupendous abilities as a lead-off hitter by putting up a .341 batting average, 31 runs scored and 27 stolen bases on her way to first-team honors.

Fellow junior Alex Dautremont is a first-team infielder after hitting .257 with eight doubles and 14 runs batted in. Dautremont also had a solid season as a pitcher, compiling a 3.91 earned-run average and 91 strikeouts while finishing the season with an 8-8 record.

Senior Hogan Eden led Lone Tree with 23 RBI and scored 17 runs while batting .320 on her way to becoming a second-team infielder. Junior Rylee Shield is a second-team outfielder after hitting .400 with two doubles, two triples, 20 stolen bases, 23 runs scored and another 14 driven in.

Freshman Abby Zaruba makes the second team as a pitcher, piling up 67 strikeouts in just under 60 innings of work. The Lions also got honorable mentions for junior Kayleigh Rundlett and freshman Olivia Magruder.
