After a busy summer of baseball, the Lone Tree Lions have come away with six all-conference selections in the North division of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference.

That group includes Emmett Burke, who is not only chosen as a first-team infielder but has also been named the Super Conference North Player of the Year. The sophomore led Lone Tree with a .467 batting average, seven doubles and 19 runs scored.

Burke also had 18 stolen bases on his way to being the Lions’ lone All-Southeast District selection in Class 1A, chosen as a first-team all-district utility player by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association.

Junior Jack Patterson is a first-team utility player in the Super Conference North after a solid pitching season, posting a 3.04 earned-run average and 55 strikeouts in just under 51 innings on the mound.

Junior outfielder Maddox Jondle earns first-team honors for Lone Tree after hitting .279, scoring 16 runs and stealing 17 bases. Senior Ethan Bockelman is a second-team choice at infielder, batting .339 with a home run and 15 runs batted in.

Bockelman also scored 20 times and had 25 steals. Honorable mentions for the Lions are junior Brody Magruder and freshman Brock Nebergall.
